It reads everything.
It keeps almost nothing.
Matters asks for real trust: you hand it everything on your mind, then stop thinking about it. Encryption alone doesn’t earn that. These are the promises we won’t break — written down, so you can hold us to them.
The promises
Your audio is never stored.
Voice notes and meetings are transcribed, read once, and discarded. The words become tasks; the sound is gone.
No surveillance, ever.
No typing analysis, no tone analysis, no sleep tracking, no watching your tabs. The agents read what you point them at, and nothing else.
The app writes. You send.
Matters drafts the chase, the deferral, the reply. It never sends a message to another human on its own, and it never speaks as you.
It suggests when. It never takes time.
The brief may say your morning is clear. It will never write blocks onto your calendar or move your meetings.
A new user sees a clean slate.
Demo content is canned. Nobody's real list is ever shown to anyone else, not even as an example.
Delete actually deletes.
A deleted task disappears everywhere within moments. Signing out wipes the device. One email deletes the whole account within 72 hours.
Where your data actually lives
What we hold
- Your email address, as your account
- Your task list, one copy, so your devices agree
- Your settings, so they follow you
What passes through
- Captures: read once into tasks, then dropped
- Audio: transcribed, never written to disk
- Questions to Ask: answered, not archived
What never exists
- Passwords: sign-in codes die in ten minutes
- Your card number: payment never touches us
- A behavioral profile of you
Your list lives on your devices and works offline. The cloud holds one copy for one reason: so your other devices can see it. Sign-in codes are stored hashed and expire in ten minutes; there is no password to leak.
Five helpers, one job each
Nothing is shared beyond the job named here, and none of them may keep or train on what they see.
